On Thursday, September 19, 2024, the Gonnon Primary School, in collaboration with the Municipality of Tempi, carried out a dynamic action within the framework of the European Mobility Week entitled "Little Marathoners in Action".
The action was attended by two distinguished marathon runners of the Larissa Marathoners Association, Mr. Katsakioris and Mr. Goulas, who shared their experience with the students and emphasized the multiple benefits of sports on physical and mental health.
After the speech, all the students under the guidance of the trainer Mr. Christ. Tsiourvas participated in competitions in the school yard, in an atmosphere of enthusiasm and noble competition. The students were awarded with participation medals, which were presented by the Deputy Mayor for Finance of the Municipality of Tempi, Mr. Nikolaos Mitsoyiannis, and the President of the Municipal Unit of Gonnon, Mr. Thomas Papadontas, who honored the event with their presence.
The school Principal, Ms. Apostolina Saiti, warmly thanked the Mayor of Tempi, Mr. Georgios Manolis, for his continued support, as well as the Scientific Associate of the Municipality, Ms. Anna Gerokosta, for her decisive contribution to the impeccable organization of the action.
The event highlighted the importance of physical exercise and the promotion of healthy lifestyles from an early age, while promoting the message of sustainable mobility within the framework of the European Mobility Week.
